Spring Term 2014 will see Thornlow launch the 1000 words challenge as part of the National Campaign for languages "Speak to the Future".  It is a nationwide challenge to encourage as many people as possible to learn 1000 words in a foreign language. 

Pupils, staff and parents will be invited to take on the challenge in Spanish and will be able to access a regularly updated online course via ITS LEARNING for help and advice on how best to learn.

There will also be a new Spanish language initiative launched for children in the Nursery during 2014.
