Music

We want all our children here at Thornlow to acquire an understanding and a love of music which will continue to grow long after they have left us. Music, here, is not just for the talented. It is for everybody. And it is fun!

Children learn about the theory of music and composition. We introduce them to a range of periods and styles extending from hip-hop to Mozart.

We make music, too. We want every child to learn to read music and play and instrument before they leave us.

Individual music lessons are available in many instruments including piano, violin, guitar, flute, clarinet and saxophone.

In addition to our instrumental ensembles, we are exceptionally proud of our sea shanty choir, the "Lobster Pot Rebels".
