Sailing

We're a little school, but we have a giant reputation for sailing. We hone our skills in the safe waters of Portland Harbour, just a stone's throw away. Our hosts are based at The Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic venue. Everyone starts in Picos and, when they are ready, moves up to Lasers. Our dream is to develop an Olympian. It's no pipe-dream either!

Sailing is a timetabled curriculum subject. Every child in the school from Year 3 upwards is taught to sail.
We sail at the 2012 Olympic Sailing Venue on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, and we compete at an extremely high level.
